Louis Cruises - Aquamarine
A Destination Cruise
Ship: The Aquamarine is a 'mature' lady (built in 1971) and not as grand as the newer
ships but she's well maintained and spotlessly clean. There is always someone fixing something, painting
something, and wiping down things. It is a perfect way to get to see multiple islands in a short amount of
time. As long as you go into it with this expectation, you will not be disappointed.
ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment is not as good as you might find on the newer / bigger ships,
but the singers and dancers really try hard. They are not just going through the motions. There are also
events going on all day on the ship, including games around the pool, dancing lessons, Greek lessons, bingo,
etc.
FOOD: Breakfast buffets have lots of choices. In the bistro a chef makes waffles to
order. Lunch in the bistro has different foods on the buffet each day, there is also a pasta station here. A
la Carte restaurant has a choice of about 10 courses at lunch and at dinner.
You can purchase an all-inclusive drink package onboard. There is one that includes alcohol drinks and one
that does not.
Spa: Small but nice
