Windsor Castle

London is one of the world's great cities, vibrant London manages to shine in the greyest weather and its diversity defies a simple definition. This sprawling city has drawn people for centuries, looking for something and finding the unexpected. London's landscape is steeped in British history and tradition. The classic sights of Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben could not be more English, and are a permanent symbol of England's former greatness.

Paris is confident that it's the world's most beautiful, fashionable and artistic capital. Visit just once and it's hard to disagree. Walking through the heart of Paris you often feel like you've wandered onto an art film set; much of the city has been scrubbed clean in recent years and it's never looked more fabulous. Its inhabitants are the definition of style, its architecture includes some of the most spectacular buildings and monuments in Europe and the ambiance is by turns exciting and alluring.

Amsterdam, with its canals, distinctive architecture and liberal culture, is one of Europe's most fun and laid-back cities and the capital of the Netherlands and has something to suit every taste. The cobbled streets are made for wandering, or cycling, and enjoying the typical Dutch landscapes of boat-lined canals and architectural landmarks such as the Oude Kerk and Beurs van Berlage. Of course the best way to see the city is from a boat and over three million people enjoyed a canal cruise in Amsterdam last year.

A walking tour through 'Dark' Amsterdam can be rather illuminating, as it centers on the famous Red Light District. The excursion starts at a prostitute information centre, where you will have a drink while a former prostitute explains the system and you can ask any questions you may have. The visit to the 'Wallen'' (the Red Light District) is perhaps the most interesting part of the tour. You will see for yourself the oldest profession of the world. The tour continues past monuments and through old streets, one of which is the well-known 'Zeedijk', once one of the most dangerous streets of Amsterdam - where Seamen could be found looking for local amusement. Nowadays this is a safe area, full of lively Dutch pubs and restaurants and the shady bars of yester-year are long gone

This tour covers the magnificent area of Dutch polder landscape north of Amsterdam, marked by windmills, dikes and ditches. After a stop to taste some traditionally made products at a cheese farm, we will visit the picturesque villages Edam and Zaanse Schans, where you will have the opportunity to visit a windmill and wooden shoe factory. You will then continue to Volendam and Marken, fishermen's villages along the former Zuidersee. Marken used to be an island until it was connected to the mainland by a dike. Some people of both places still wear the traditional costumes. Lunch is not included.
