Day 1 - Depart from Home
Your vacation begins when you board your overnight flight to Budapest (Airport code - BUD). Plan your flight to
arrive on Friday. Remember you are flying home from Prague!
Day 2 - Arrive Budapest, Hungary
Upon arrival at the Budapest Airport, you will board your shuttle and be
transferred to our hotel; shuttles will be running through out the day. Meet your tour leader and group for an
optional dinner.
Day 3 - Budapest, Hungary
Take a stroll through Budapest, the Paris of the East and see the sights on our
morning walking tour. Escorted by our English-speaking guide, see all the highlights that Buda and Pest
have to offer, plus some unexpected gems on this fascinating walking tour of magical Budapest. Hear about the
history, society and architecture of this Hungarian city.

Optional Tour
- Hungary was a Communist country for 43 years. During this walk learn about
key events and undercover stories from behind the Iron Curtain. Get a picture of the daily life,
brainwash process, social conditions, human rights, secret agents and the cult of the party bosses.
Sights include the 1956 uprising areas, the bronze bullet memorial, the flag with the hole and the eternal
flame, the secret entrance of a military bunker, the last Communist memorial in the inner city and other symbols of
"Soviet friendship".
Enjoy our Welcome Dinner with live music on an enchanting river cruise down
the Danube river. Our English-speaking waitresses will serve us a delicious meal at our table, while you can
take pleasure looking at the sights of Budapest through the windows of the Cruise
boat.
After dinner admire the breathtaking panorama from the open upper deck of the
ship.
Day 4- Budapest, Hungary
During our morning coach tour we will explore the most beautiful and interesting sights of Hungary's capital
city. With the Danube River flowing by, the ring boulevards and the numerous eclectic and revival buildings,
Budapest is rightly considered to be the pearl of Europe. Explore Buda and Pest with its wealth of historic
monuments, linked by eight graceful bridges. Visit the famous Fisherman's Bastion
Budapest has over 100 hot springs, from which cca. 40 million litres
of warm thermal water gushes forth daily, as the geological fault between the Buda Hills and the Great Plain
is directly beneath Budapest. This afternoon spend a few hours enjoying the famous Gellert Bath and Spa.
Optional Free Tour (3:30pm) - Hungary has the largest Jewish population in East-Central
Europe and the second largest synagogue in the world. The Jewish quarter is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage
list of sights. The tour shows you not only the religious traditions but the other cultural art-, and scientific
background, the mutuality with the Hungarian history and evolution. It covers the history of the largest synagogue
in Europe, leads through the cemetery and the memorial garden, 3 other precious places of worship and the hidden
Jewish symbols of the neighborhood. We also pop in to the most authentic local pubs and cultural centers which are
the top meeting points for party people.
Day 5 - Budapest, Hungary - Vienna, Austria
Sleep late or just relax before our Hungarian Cooking Lesson and Lunch. Explore Market Hall, the
largest indoor market in Budapest with stalls offering a variety of vegetables, fruits, cheeses and meats. Learn
how to prepare some famous Hungarian dishes and take home the recipes. After our lesson enjoy a lunch of Hungarian
goulash soup and traditional pancakes.
Afternoon train to Vienna. Upon arrival we will be transferred to our hotel to relax before our night tour of
Vienna. Tonight, relax and enjoy our Night drive along the Ring. View the monumental buildings like Hofburg Palace,
Museum of Fine Arts, Houses of Parliament, City Hall, University and much more before going to the Prater amusement
park.
Day 6 - Vienna, Austria
Our city tour will give you an overall impression of the city of Vienna. Visit the
most important monuments of Vienna's city center. Our guide will show us - the opera palace, the imperial
palace "Hofburg", the Heroes square with the fine arts and natural history museums, the Vienna town hall, the
Austrian parliament, the imperial pastry shop Demel, the Graben square with the black column, Saint Stephen's
cathedral and many other places of interest in the narrow streets of Vienna's old town.
The highlight is our visit to the Schonbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburg family. See the beautiful
show rooms of the palace with all the historical explanations.
Day 7 - Vienna , Austria
Today we visit the Spanish Riding School to see Lipizzans’ training with music. It is the aim of the
Morning Exercise to train the horses and to strengthen their various muscles around the neck and shoulder, the
back, the croup and the hindquarters.
During Morning Exercise, the horses are made supple, their muscles are loosened and all lessons right up to the
“High School” are being taught, exercised, refreshed and perfected.
This afternoon enjoy free time to explore the museums, palaces or shops of your choice.
Day 8 - Vienna, Austria to Prague, Czech Republic
Morning departure to Wien Meidling train
station to board our nonstop train to Prague. Upon arrival at Praha Hlavni Nadr train station we will stop and
have lunch before our afternoon tour of Prague.
Our fascinating journey through the history of Prague, an enchanting city with over 4,000 monuments begins with
an overview coach tour.
With this tour, you have a fantastic opportunity to see the main Prague historic places and monuments in only a
few hours. See Wenceslas Square (traditional place of different meetings during the Velvet Revolution, etc.),
National Theatre (built thanks to money from Prague inhabitants), Charles Bridge (founded by Charles IV. in the
14th century), Belvedere (the summer house of Queen Anna), Lesser Town with the baroque church of St. Nicolas and
Old Town Square.
Day 9 - Prague , Czech Republic
Discover the impressive Bohemian castles on our full-day excursion. Gothic Karlstejn Castle, built in the 14th
century by Charles IV, the Czech King and Roman Emperor. The castle was believed to hold the treasure of the Holy
Roman Empire including the imperial coronation jewels. Explore the main buildings which lasted until 1356, the year
of Charles' coronation as emperor and how much care Charles IV devoted to the rich interior decoration of the
castle. After his death the castle was then modified in the Renaissance style and re-built in the purism style
between the 19th and 20th century.
Konopiste Castle dates from the 14th century, with extensive reconstruction works in the 19th century.
Predominantly used for hunting, this charming castle houses a huge collection of historical weapons, period
furniture, paintings and tapestries. This guided sightseeing excursion will give visitors a fine impression of the
power of the peoples living in this area of Central Europe in centuries past.
Day 10 - Prague, Czech Republic
This morning we explore the medieval centre of Prague, the cobbled streets around the Old Town Square and stroll
into the Jewish Quarter (Josefov), once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe. Our guide will explain the dramatic
history, traditions and legends linked to this area of the city. We will cross Charles Bridge, one of Europe’s
oldest stone bridges. Visit Prague Castle and the magnificent St. Vitus Cathedral while our guide brings to life
stories of where kings were crowned and battles were fought.
Afternoon at leisure for last minute exploring, shopping or relaxing.
An unforgettable experience of Czech folklore show and dinner awaits us tonight. The wonderful ensemble of
dancers and musicians dressed in traditional clothing will entertain, excite, and amuse us during their
performance. You are more than welcome to take an active part in learning the Czech songs, dances and games. A
traditional dinner will be served with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.
Day 11 - Depart Prague, Czech Republic
Sad to say but our Budapest - Vienna - Prague singles vacation has come to an end. After breakfast it is time to
say goodbye to all your new travel buddies as we make our way to the airport and our flights home.
