Panama City. You will be met at Tocumen International Airport and transferred to our
hotel. Free time to relax before we start our trip
around this magical country. Meet your group leader and join the group for an optional

City
Join us while we explore the dynamic Panama City. Head out at 8:30am to the Panama Canal and visit Miraflores Locks. Watch the ships
transit the locks and visit the canal museum. Next we check out the view of the city from the top of Cerro
Ancon! A quick stop at the artisan market to see what is made here in Panama before we head to the Amador for
a short nature trail walk in Punta Culebra and for lunch. Saving the best for last, we enjoy a walking tour of
old town, Casco Viejo. Marvel at its spectacular architecture and learn about the history of this world
heritage site.
Tonight we have our welcome dinner a few blocks
from the hotel at a traditional restaurant, Trapiche. Overnight at the Tower House Hotel (Meals:
B-L-D)
Day 3 - Sunday - El Valle
Today we leave the bright lights of the big city behind and head
to the hills of El Valle. El Valle is a lush valley located in the crater of an extinct volcano. Famous for
its Sunday Market is also is home to one of the best hikes in Panama. Follow your guide for ~1hour up the
‘switch backs’ to reach the ridge 800 feet above the valley floor. Enjoy the views (and cooler climate) as
you walk along the ridge to the trail down to the waterfalls and petroglyphs. *not a hiker, not to worry,
there is a short trail to these same waterfalls, you just get a little more time at the
market.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure. There are many optional
activities to choose from -horse ride, bike, zoo w/ the golden frogs or enjoy the mud
pool! Overnight at Hotel Residencial (Meals:
B-L)
Day 4 - Monday - Boquete

After breakfast, we head to Boquete. Along the way we will stop
at a Pacific Coast Beach for lunch and a few hours in the afternoon sun. Enjoy the waves of the sea or take a
stroll to a nearby estuary for a fresh water dip.
We will reach the mountain town of Boquete in time to check
in and freshen up before dinner at a great restaurant along the river. Overnight at Hotel Oasis (Meals: B-L-D)
Day 5 - Tuesday - Boquete
Today we take on the class III rapids of one of the best rivers
for rafting in Panama! This is a full day tour with some of the best (and safest) guides in Latin America. Go
get wet! and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery keeping an eye out for the all illusive Quetzal bird. It is
an adventure you will never forget.
Venture out on your own for dinner or join the group at another
fantastic restaurant in Boquete. (Meals: B-L)
Day 6 - Wednesday - Boquete
Ready for another adventure? Today we are going to take a 4x4 ride way up into the
mountains, almost reaching the continental divide at over 7000 feet. Take in the views of Panama’s tallest
mountain, Volcan Baru (11,500 feet) and take a deep breath as you get ready for the zip line/ canopy
adventure. There are 14 cables taking you from tree to tree at speeds reaching over 40
mph!
If you had enough adrenalin filled adventure yesterday, you can
choose to go for a hike or take one of the coffee tours offered in this famous growing
region. We will regroup at the hotel for dinner. (Meals: B -
D)
Day 7 - Thursday - Bocas del Toro
Along the way to Bocas we stop at a hot spring to relax after
the fun filled stop in Boquete. Enjoy the 3 natural pools close to the refreshing Rio Chiriqui. Along the drive you will be
amazed at the views of both oceans and experience what might as well be a ‘cloud
forest’. After lunch back at sea level we will reach the ferry dock
and take a 30 minute boat ride to the main island, Isla Colon, check in to our hotel and go have dinner and
check out the night life! Overnight at Hotel Olas (Meals: B-L-D)
Day 8 - Friday - Bocas del
Toro
Today we will explore some of the many wonderful places in Bocas. A
visit to red frog beach is a must, plus we will visit a snorkeling site or 2, starfish beach and more!
This part of Panama is a nature/beach lover’s paradise and we have all day to take it in. Travel by boat
to/from islands and beaches is not a bad way to spend the day in the Caribbean!
Outside of Panama City, ‘Bocas Town’ has the most choice for
restaurants and the best nightlife! Take advantage of the famous happy hour as we enjoy our meal and drinks
by the seaside (Meals: B-L)
Day 9 - Saturday - Panama City
Morning at leisure so enjoy our only late start or get up
early and take advantage of another beach day. The return flight to the city won’t be till late
afternoon. After the 1 hour scenic flight back to the city, we transfer to our hotel to get
ready for our Farewell Dinner.
(Meals: B-D)
Day 10 - Sunday
